Michael Hoefer, MD is a Yale and UCSF-trained Psychiatrist. He has expertise in general psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and geriatric psychiatry. He provides psychiatric consultation, evaluation, and treatment of young adults, adults, and family members of individuals with substance use disorders. Dr. Hoefer's treatment approach is evidence-based and collaborative. He maintains a small private practice so that he may provide personalized and comprehensive care to all of his clients. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco.
His office is located in Sausalito, CA. He is able to provide treatment in-person, virtually and also do house calls, when indicated.
